“This week I nominate a student with a continuous positive attitude toward peers, teachers, and whatever task is assigned. This student is always willing to put in the extra effort to make sure his class assignments and performances are completed with the utmost enthusiasm and attention to detail. He is attentive to the instructions and works diligently to complete each task with a high example of skill and continuing growth in his craft. He is respectful of his peers by making sure to include everyone with his warm smile and an infectious sense of humor. Always ready to share and contribute, I appreciate the conversation he helps to generate. He regularly makes real-world connections with the topics we explore in class - a skill that will help him be successful in anything he chooses to pursue. All of these things and more make Waylon Hettich my nomination for this week’s Terrific Terrapin.”
