This year’s Teacher of the Year is an exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled teacher. In the short amount of time that she has been at CREECS, she has earned the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues. Her lessons are dynamic and her students are fully engaged. Everyone is successful in her class and their artwork is proof of that success. Through her words of encouragement and guidance, she has helped every CREECS student become an artist. We are so lucky to have her as a part of our CREECS family. This year’s Teacher of the Year is Ms. Brown!

The student of the year is selected based on academic achievement, leadership skills, character, and service to the school and community. This year’s student of the year is an eighth grader who strives for academic excellence. In addition to taking a regular middle school course load, she is taking two high school credit classes, Algebra I and Spanish I, has a straight “A” average, participates in school sports basketball and tennis, is a member of the Student Council, and takes dance classes and recently tried out for the Wando Dance Team! She is a model student and role model for her fellow schoolmates. We are really going to miss her next year. Congratulations Katie!

This year the CREECS staff would like to recognize one volunteer who stands out among the crowd.  Since her children started school, she has volunteered to drive on field trips, work at the Shrimp Festival, and do just about anything that we ask of her. She is always willing to help us out and has a smile on her face. The volunteer of the year is Miss Pam Otto!
